DESCRIPTION:
- The HEDC Structural Repairs and Utilities Grant provides funding to support commercial property owners in Hillsboro, ND, with necessary repairs and infrastructure improvements. The program covers structural repairs such as roof, window, door, or foundation repairs, and utility-related work like water, sewer, electric, and gas repairs.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Must own commercial real estate occupied by an operating business within Hillsboro city limits.
- Must not have received a prior grant for structural repairs or utility work from HEDC.
- Must submit an application with cost estimates and plans for the proposed work.
- Grants cannot be used for apartment complexes or residential leases.
NOTES:

‘Funds are either paid directly to the contractor upon proof of contract or reimbursed after proof of completion. Structural repairs require a dollar-for-dollar match. Structural repairs must be completed within the same year of application. Utility repair work is eligible for expenses from July 2021 onwards.
