The award was presented by North Dakota’s SBA Deputy District Director Wendy Klug at the Women’s Business Summit. It was a moment to celebrate and showcase the impact NDWBC has had on communities and the economy statewide.

“The North Dakota WBC and its staff truly deserve this award because of their dedication, ambition, and support they provide.  From intensive program training to one-on-one coaching, the WBC stands strong supporting women in small businesses across the state of North Dakota.”

NDWBC Executive Director Christy Dauer received the award.

“We’re truly humbled by this recognition. It reflects the hard work, passion, and support that our team pours into everything we do. From personalized coaching to comprehensive training programs, we’re here to empower women in small businesses across North Dakota.”

NDWBC began in the early 2000s, assisting women in rural communities to embrace new technologies for their farming operations. Today, the mission remains strong: to be the leading advocate and partner for women in business, providing essential resources and amplifying their economic voices.

With a range of programs and services, the center is designed to equip women entrepreneurs with the tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive landscape. From business coaching to networking events like Strong Women Strong Connections, NDWBC supports its clients every step of their journey.

“It brings me immense pride and gratitude to receive this award. We owe this achievement to each and every one of our valued clients, who are the true leaders in the fabric of our economies. Your trust and support have been the cornerstone of our success, and we are deeply thankful for the opportunity to serve you,” Dauer said.

“And I have to thank my team for their dedication and hard work that has brought us to this point. I am proud of what we have achieved together so far. This milestone is a testament to their commitment and collaboration,” she continued.

NDWBC plans to continue its unwavering dedication to shaping a future where all businesses flourish.
